Show Me
When I look in your eyes I see…
Show Me
When I look in your eyes
I see blue
See the sky open wide
Yes, it’s true
In the light
There’s a shine on your face
And it tells me
I’ve found a new place
She’s a girl
With a smile so deep
And a story
That winds like a stream
Well you make me
Feel warm in the wind
You protect me
From rain comin’ in
So show me
The reason for being
Show me
The key to it all
Dance on the table
Spin like a top
Show me some crazy
And don’t ever stop
When I look down the bar
I see bright
See a star
In the dark of the night
Well, she’s wearing a glittery dress
And she wouldn’t wear anything less
She says to the guy
Will you dance
Let me see your knees hit the floor
She says that we’re gonna’ get wild
And I’ll carry you boy out the door
So show me
The reason for being
Show me
The key to it all
Dance on the table
Spin like a top
Show me some crazy
And don’t ever stop

Dreamer
In a place full of wonder…
Dreamer
In a place full of wonder
In a town by the sea
There’s a dreamer who sits
With his head on his knees
And he calls out to the heavens
Speaks to the one on high
And he says Lord
You got to help me
You got to hear my cry
Little boy runs to school
To get in on the game
Kicks the ball, scores the goal
Basks in all the fame
Glory comes to the kid
He hears the cheers so deep
The world is now
The world is here
The world is at your feet
And he wants to be loved
And he wants to be known
He’s seen a lot of people
But they’re already grown
He’s walking around
But he’s not walking clear
And he wants to be part of
The ones who hold him dear

Little Little Town
I grew up in a little, little town…
Little Little Town
I grew up in a little, little town
I used to play ball on the old playground
Teacher gave me stars for bein’ real good
Teacher gave me grades for knowin’ the rules
Well how come then that things do change
You go away, well, and you get to feel strange
But I don’t feel so big no more
Since I left the last key
And closed the door
Workin’ ain’t the same as the kickball days
Workin’ ain’t the same as the schoolyard plays
And when I started growin’
And I’d look at pretty girls
There was one I knew
With the long blond curls
We used to meet at the library
We used to make out
Behind the big, big tree
Had a paisley shirt
And nice combed hair
Pennies in my shoes
And not one care
But I don’t feel so big no more
Since I left the last key
That opened the door
Workin’ ain’t the same as the kickball days
Workin’ ain’t the same as the schoolyard plays
You’re the one with the smile that stays
You’re the one, I turn around dazed
Boy she says, I’m strong for you
Don’t you worry now
Show you what to do
So I’m sittin’ on the banks
It’s the Fourth of July
Holdin’ my girl, seein’ little girl eyes
Brown hair shines in the evening light
Sparkles fly, and it feels so right
But next thing you know she’s wavin’ goodbye
She’s hitting the road
He’s ready to cry
Now I don’t feel so big no more
Since I left the last key
That opened the door
Workin’ ain’t the same as the kickball days
Workin’ ain’t the same as the schoolyard plays
And when I go back to my little, little town
I walk the same street to the old downtown
I look up the hill to the red brick school
I see myself walkin’, tryin’ to act real cool
I hold onto my dreams ‘cause they keep me strong
Hold onto a street in the old downtown
Just puttin’ on a play ‘bout my yesterdays
Walkin’ through a scene that’s far, far away
And I don’t feel so big no more
Since I left the last key
That opened the door
Workin’ ain’t the same as the kickball days
Workin’ ain’t the same as the schoolyard plays
Workin’ ain’t the same as the kickball days
Workin’ ain’t the same as the schoolyard plays

Slow Down
She says – slow down…
Slow Down
She says – slow down
Take it e e e easy
Move your feet all around
Feel the warm sandy beach
See the birds making tracks
As the little boy laughs
It’s the end of the day
A good time to stay
Well, the sun’s coming up
And it’s quiet at the sea
I’m running too fast
‘Cause I think I’ll save some time
She walks along the shore
Hears the ocean waves
Will you wait for me now
Stop and see what I can see
And she says — hold on
The new year’s almost here
We can sit at the bar
See the sun up come down
Take a sip at a time
Let it swirl ‘round and ‘round
Let the wine work its way
We are near, faraway

Suds, Vinyl, and the Open Highway
Give me some suds, vinyl…
Suds, Vinyl and The Open Highway
Give me some suds, vinyl
And the open highway
Give me some room to breathe
And a woman behind me
‘Cause I got music to go
For each different road
And I got time
To reach my pioneer dream
Windy roads
‘Round a mountain
Fade away lines
Orange skies
Faraway lights
Gas station town
And a bar with a pool hall
And a cowboy band
Give me some suds, vinyl
And the open highway
Give me some room to breathe
And a woman behind me
‘Cause I got music to go
For each different road
And I got time
To reach my pioneer dream
Saw a sad-eyed girl
With small town charm
She took my hand
She considered it sold
She told me a story
Of how she’d get out
Then she went back to work
She was dancing without
Give me some suds, vinyl
And the open highway
Give me some room to breathe
And a woman behind me
‘Cause I got music to go
For each different road
And I got time
To reach my pioneer dream

Red, White and Blue
Red Shirt,
White Pants,
Blue Socks Too…
Red, White and Blue
Red Shirt
White Pants
Blue Socks Too
I see America
All over you
Hopes and Smiles
And dirt on your hands
I see hard work
‘Cross the Land
A little boy
And girl in need
I see caring
Take the lead
Rock and rap
Jazz and hip
Many voices
On our ship
Wear the Flag
Live it too
Different Folks
They make the glue
